Established in 2018 and based in Florence, Italy, RESILIENT is the union of Production / Post Production house Radical Plans and Production / Distribution house Berta Film. With our combined experience, we have dominated the national and international markets and have produced and supported strong, imaginative, and passionate projects.
Production and Post Production House
Radical Plans, founded in 2010, is a production and post-production house based in Florence, Italy. Our company produces shorts, feature film, documentaries, branded content and VR. Our films have been selected and awarded prizes at various international festivals including: Venice, Locarno, Dubai and Nastri d’Argento (Silver Ribbons).
We focus on creating innovative productions by combining the technical and artistic experiences of our team. Our company is formed by young and ambitious professionals with a vast knowledge and technical proficiency, along with their artistic passion.
Thanks to our in-house theatre, dedicated to color grading and surround sound mixing we offer end-to-end post-production services including: editing, color grading, sound mixing, VFX and the final delivery for TV, web or cinema (DCP). We have brought our vision to reality, that of a complete post-production process that grants our clients both advanced technical and artistic solutions, at competitive rates.
Production and Distribution Company
Berta Film is an international film production and distribution company. As international sales agent and executive producer we carefully select quality titles, promote their value and bring them to as wide an audience as possible. As producers, we’ve worked on more than 10 feature films, feature documentaries and documentary series.
Our films have been selected by leading international festivals such as Cannes, Academy Awards, Hot Docs, Idfa, Sheffield, Visions Du Réel, Locarno and Venice. Since 2012 we’ve been attending markets and pitching forums around the world, such as Mipcom, IDFA, Cannes, Hotdocs and Berlinale.
As a sales company, with an average of 15 new completed films and series every year and 5 projects in development, we have represented more than 90 titles in the last 5 years and sold our films to more than 60 buyers around the world. Among them Rai, Arte France, ZDF, Canal +, MDR, Al Jazeera, Sky Italia, Svt, Nrk, Yle, DR, France Televisions, Tv3 Catalunya, La Effe, Russia Today, Press Tv and many others.
RESILIENT covers the entire process of the realization of audiovisual products, integrating all stages including development, production, post production and distribution. Our goal is to realize projects of greater economic and qualitative importance, while maintaining great attention to detail along with enthusiasm for the projects selected.
We not only entertain, but we inspire as well. We promote uniqueness, expression, open mindedness, provocative and compelling stories, through film, television, or on the web.

Feature Film
Mysterious Solomon lives and works in a recycling plant in NYC. A self-taught science wiz, he has made his own radio telescope from spare parts to search for extraterrestrial communications from outer space. By chance he meets alluring Chuyao, a manicurist who unwillingly moonlights in dangerous fetish games. A violent confrontation with Chuyao’s criminal boyfriend leaves these two illegal immigrants heading West on the run from the law and hunting down a shared UFO experience.
Feature Film
A historical western drama, Acque Profonde is based in Tuscany’s Maremma, during the twenty years of fascism. Carolina, the only female among the ‘butteri’ (the Italian cowboys) discovers that her father, a cruel and taciturn man, was once a cold-blooded marksman. The girl seeks to claim a bounty, instead of her father, placed on the head of a bloodthirsty hunter that lives in the marshes, named Er Serpente, who is intent on hampering the colossal reclamation of the Pontine Marshes being undertaken by the Fascists. During her journey south, Carolina will witness the monumental reclamation work, becoming first a fairground boxer and then a respectable housekeeper in the lands that have been “redeemed”. Ultimately, she will fulfill her destiny in the insidious and wild swamps where Er Serpente has his hideout.

Kamal, a young Iraqi man trying to enter Europe on foot through the border between Turkey and Bulgaria is captured by Bulgarian border police. He manages to escape but is wounded and chased relentlessly and aggressively by a group of Bulgarian vigilantes calling themselves Migrant Hunters. Kamal finds himself lost in a seemingly interminable forest: an underworld where rules and laws don’t exist. For three days and three nights Kamal must fight for his life as tension and violence between him and the hunters rise until a final, violent, life-or-death confrontation.
Feature Film
Set in Florence, It’s About to Rain tackles immigration issues and the struggle for acceptance. It centers on an Algerian family who have lived most of their lives in Italy, but are still surrounded by a society that continues to reject them. Said Mahran, the film’s protagonist, who is one of the sons, is a confident and ambitious young man, born and raised in Italy. He studies and works as a part-time baker, has a beautiful girlfriend and loves football. When his father loses his job, the family is suddenly faced with the reality of not being able to renew their residency visa. Said’s life is drastically changed and Italy, the only country he has ever lived in, is now pushing him to “go home” to Algeria.
Feature Film
Drama of urban alienation set in an austere and chaotic London. The son of a world-renowned Iraqi writer struggles with his conscience as he plans to publish a book which exploits his assassinated father’s name, while wrestling with his unrequited love for his best friend.
Short Film
A young Iraqi man’s dream to play football is put to the test as his life in a crime-ridden country and his struggle to survive push him toward a rigorous decision. Leaving his mother, home, and past memories behind, he finds that the only way to escape his country is under a semi truck – destination: anywhere else. The journey that Jamal endures becomes the ride of a lifetime in this visually engrossing, thought provoking and emotionally rousing short film.
Documentary
Tintoretto – The Man Who Killed Painting tells the story of his daring life, from the young artist who invented his own innovative style, to his rivalry with Titian, Raphael and Michelangelo, to his death. His biography is interwoven with the history of Venice, a maritime republic and the gateway to Europe.
Documentary
Alberese, in the Tuscan Maremma, is home to the last three remaining butteri, the last Italian cowboys, heroic men who still rear cattle in the wild, living examples of the possibility of redemption between humans and nature.
Virtual Reality Documentary
No Borders: the first Italian documentary ever made in virtual reality shot in 360 degrees.
Actor Elio Germano, is both the narrator and interviewer. He explores the migrants’ crisis in Italy.
The film is set between Baobab center in Rome and the No Borders camp in Ventimiglia, a border city now symbol of the emergency of migrants. Virtual reality allows the spectator to dive into the scene, exploring it. In No Borders, you can experience spaces, moments of the day, stories and testimonials involving volunteers. Virtual Reality brings the audience into a slice of life, that is becoming, every day more, ours.
Documentary
Narrated by Willem Dafoe, PIIGS is a documentary that challenges prevalent European budgetary policies and the austerity dogma. It does so by bringing in lesser-known facts and evidence that have the effect of ridiculing prevalent European monetary policies and dominant political certainties.

Street Opera: the faces of rap in Italy. Elio Germano introduces four artists of the Italian hip hop scenario, representatives of four very different ways of rap: Danno, Guè Pequeno, Clementino and Tormento.
Street Opera tells different facets of music, mainstream on one hand, underground on the other. The doc focuses on live performances and offers a portrait of the Italian rap scene. The four rappers share the choices marking their careers, the different phases of their artistic lives as old school symbols or as new talents.

Lorenzo Baglioni is the protagonist of the innovative edutainment program. In each episode he tackles different subjects, from biology to physics, from mathematics to Latin with his ironic and sharp songs.
Multi-camera live streaming on Facebook
An ongoing collaboration with RDS – Italian radio station, we produce their live showcases on Facebook. Some of the artists we have followed have been: female artist Elisa, Italian pop singer Ultimo, X Factor participant Mohmood, YouTube starts Benji&Fede, and lead singer for The Giornalisti, Tommaso Paradiso, and international star Zucchero.
